Sorry I'm a little behind in my blogging here, so it's time to catch up on some of the great things that have been happening!
Distance - Bailey T, Chris T, Keegan, Bailee S. and Allison J. especially, continue to excel each week and it's no surprise. They have been training consistently this season and on interval and race days, are bringing the effort and desire needed to be successful as a distance runner. Their are others who are having fine seasons as well beacuse of their work ethic. For those who haven't seen the improvement this season you've hoped for, the good news there is still time to turn things around. Maybe it's reaching down a little deeper on race days and intervals that you need to be focusing on. Let's keep on turning out those PR'S and School records these next few weeks!
Pomona 4/15 - The weather today was kind to the Distance Crew, but even in the cool weather we saw a new school record in the Girls 100 with Emily Sloan's 12:25, and PR's for Devin Cadena 11.14 and Tanner Riker 12.79! The Boys 4x4 (Garrison, King, Ballantine, and Petterlee) also ran well.
For the Distance Boys, Bailey 1600 and Chris 3200 ran Huge PR's, as did Keegan on his leg of the 4x8. On the Girls Side, Bailee and Allison ran PR's in the 1600, nearly finishing in a tie!
TJ Twilight 4/8 - Great job as a Team as the Boys finished 2nd and Girls 3rd! New school records by Bailey Timmons 3200, and Emily Sloan 100H and 300H were the highlight today! Jacob Petterlee 400, Bailee Stones, 3200, Chris Theodore 800 and 4x8, Tanner Riker 100/200, Luke Dickinson and 4x8 (Steavpack, Ballantine, Vrabel and Theodore), had strong performances.
Distance is really running well for early April. Hopefully with good weather, we will see more school records and PR's later this month.
Fort Collins - It was a good day for our sprinters and distance. Devin Cadena, Tanner Riker, Bailey Timmons, Chris Theodore, Bailee Stones and the boys 4x8 and 4x4 turned in great efforts.
The boys and girls distance who had solid efforts, did so because of their commitment over Spring Break. We're proud of the dedication you make to the team!
